We Learn Finance is a site of articles and calculators. You don't need an account, and there are no sign-up forms. This page explains the little the site itself keeps, and what the Google services it uses collect.
What the site itself keeps
- Your theme choice. If you pick light or dark mode, your browser remembers it (in local storage). It never leaves your device.
- Calculator numbers stay in your browser. The calculators run on your device and don't send what you type anywhere. If you use a calculator's share link, the numbers you entered become part of that link, so anyone you send it to can see them.
- Search runs in your browser. Site search downloads its index from this site; your searches aren't sent to anyone.
- Offline copies. Your browser may save copies of pages so the site loads faster and works offline.
- Hosting. The site is hosted on Microsoft Azure, which, like any web host, processes standard request details such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages.
Google Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and how they find them. It uses cookies to collect things like the pages you visit, how long you stay, the kind of device and browser you use, and your approximate location (city or region, not your address). I see these as totals, not as information about you personally.

Ads from Google
The site shows ads through Google AdSense to help pay for hosting. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site and other sites. Google's advertising cookies let it and its partners show you ads based on those visits.
You can turn off personalized ads from Google in My Ad Center (opens in a new tab), and opt out of other vendors' personalized ads at aboutads.info (opens in a new tab) (or youronlinechoices.eu (opens in a new tab) in Europe). You'll still see ads, just less tailored ones.
Paid links
Some posts may contain paid links to other companies, each marked "(paid link)". If you follow one, that company may use cookies to record that you came from this site, so it can credit the referral. Children
The site isn't directed at children under 13, and it doesn't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If what the site collects changes, this page will be updated, along with the date at the top.
